FAQs
How Do I Make An Appointment?
Simple! Give us a call on 0493 255 277 to discuss and ask any questions you may have. Alternatively fill in the contact form and we will get back to you asap.
Do I Need To Prepare For The Appointment ?
We will weigh your vehicles in whatever loaded state you want them to be. In the majority of cases, this is fully loaded as if you were just beginning a trip. Normally this would be with water tanks full and the car fully fuelled. If you are not going on a trip, you could potentially substitute the weight of food and clothes with bottles of water or gym equipment!
Do You Come To Me?
Yes we do, if you have a suitable area to carry out the process. We need a firm flat level ground such as concrete or bitumen road. Gravel or grass are definitely not suitable. We also require a bit of space to work around the vehicles as well as to manoeuvre. If your premises are not ideal then give us a call. We have been weighing long enough that we know the best spots close to you.
What Is Involved And How Long Does It Take?
The car and trailer will be weighed on individual wheel pads, as well as the tow ball hitch on a seperate digital scale. Once the weighing procedure is complete, you will receive a printed three page report detailing:
The trailer’s individual wheel weights, axle weights and the towball mass. This information allows us to calculate the Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM), Gross Trailer Mass (GTM) and Tow Ball Mass (TBM).
The tow vehicle’s individual wheel weights and axle weights. This information allows us to calculate the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) and the Gross Combined Mass (GCM). The vehicle’s Braked Towing Capacity (BTC) is also checked.
The process normally takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. The most important aspect of the appointment is the discussion between us to ensure you fully understand your report and any rectification work required (if any) to be compliant.
Do You Accept Cash Or Card?
We can take both. Whatever is convenient for you!
